This year we are hoping to get the creative ones amongst you involved in doing your bit for the VW ACTION CHARITY AUCTION in aid of BRAD'S CANCER FOUNDATION.
We already have pledges from Paintbox, Neil Melliard's 'Prosign', Brian Burrows and Nefarious' Simon Pollock to donate 'customised' toolboxes for the Auction, and after the huge success of the 'Bog Seat Challenge' last year, we are expecting some highly original approaches to toolbox 'restyling'. Brian and Brett will also be offering boxes of their own design. We'd love to see pledges and donations from anyone else who would like to be involved in the 2009 'toolbox challenge' at VW Action.
The idea is for you to take a basic tool box and customise, design, paint, stripe, encrust in diamonds, or whatever other creative concept appeals to you. A steel toolbox.can be bought for around £10 - £15... Concept wise, the only limit is your imagination. Just decorate/illustrate/pinstripe one yourself, to be included in the auction. It's for a great cause... Go for it!
If you can't resist the opportunity to create a unique piece of 'toolbox art', please bring your mastepiece to the show, and hand it in to the VW Action Information when you arrive.
